The Liars' Club is a memoir written by Mary Karr. The book tells stories of the lives of 2 young girls Mary and her sister Lecia Karr living with two alcoholic parents and their mother's (Charlie Marie) "Nervousness". The book shares disturbing stories of their Charlie Marie's mental illness includind suicide and murder attempts. The book also goes on to tell what the two girls lives were like after their parents had divorced and remarried.
